Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, who we share it with, and how to make us stop.
Not yet reviewed by a lawyer
This policy has been drafted for completeness so the site is structurally finished. It must be reviewed and approved by a qualified lawyer, and the organisation details completed, before launch.
Who this policy is from
This site is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME]. If you have any question about this policy, contact [PUBLIC CONTACT EMAIL].
What we collect
Information you give us. If you complete the Case Check, we collect what you enter: the type of accident, approximate date, location, whether anyone was injured, your view on fault, insurance status, whether you already have an attorney, your name and contact details, and whether you want to be connected with an attorney.
Information collected automatically. Standard web information such as pages viewed and referring site, and marketing attribution data including any campaign parameters in the link you arrived through. This is stored in a first-party cookie on your own device.
We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, financial account details, or medical records.
Why we collect it
To respond to you, to send you the information you asked for, to connect you with an independent attorney where you have asked us to, to understand which of our pages are useful, and to understand which marketing brought people here.
Who we share it with
Independent attorneys. Only if you asked to be connected with one. Choosing not to means we do not share your details for that purpose.
Service providers. Hosting, email delivery, customer relationship management and analytics providers, acting on our instructions.
Nobody else. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies and tracking
We use a first-party cookie to remember how you arrived at the site, so we can attribute enquiries to the right source. Where analytics tags are configured, they are loaded through a single tag manager rather than scattered through the site. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time; the site continues to work.
How long we keep it
Case Check submissions are kept for as long as needed for the purpose you gave them, and to meet record-keeping obligations. Attribution data expires according to the window configured for this site, which is 90 days by default.
Your rights in California
California residents have rights over their personal information, including the right to know what is collected, to obtain a copy, to ask for deletion, to ask for correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. There is also a right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; we do not sell personal information.
To exercise any of these, contact [PUBLIC CONTACT EMAIL]. We may need to verify who you are before acting.
LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED The specific statutory framework, verification procedure, response deadlines and any authorised-agent process must be confirmed by a qualified lawyer before launch.
Children
This site is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored on access-controlled systems. IP addresses are stored only as a one-way hash rather than in readable form. No system is perfectly secure and we do not claim otherwise.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date shown on this page.
