Corrections Policy
We would rather be corrected than be confidently wrong. Here is how that works.
Not yet reviewed by a lawyer
This policy has been drafted for completeness so the site is structurally finished. It must be reviewed and approved by a qualified lawyer, and the organisation details completed, before launch.
Tell us
If something on this site is inaccurate, out of date, or misleading, email [PUBLIC CONTACT EMAIL]. Include the page and, if you can, the source you believe is correct. You do not need to be an expert to raise something.
What we do next
We check the claim against its cited source. If we were wrong, we correct it and update the review date on the page. If the underlying law or data has changed, we update the entry in our verified register, which updates every page that relies on it at once.
If we conclude the page was right, we will tell you why rather than simply not replying.
Significant corrections are recorded
Where a correction materially changes the meaning of a page, we note on the page that it was corrected and when. We do not quietly rewrite and pretend the earlier version never existed.
What we will not do
We will not remove accurate, sourced information because someone dislikes it. We will not add claims we cannot evidence. We will not publish testimonials, ratings or case results, however favourable.
